We support our corrugated board processing customers with the digital zone levelling DZL|foil, helping to reduce setup times and reliably compensate for height tolerances in the cutting platen. The custom-fit foil ensures consistent die-cutting results and stable production processes, quickly, flexibly, and without complex mechanical adjustments.
On corrugated board die-cutting machines, tolerances in the cutting platen often lead to inconsistent printing and die-cutting results. This results in time-consuming zone levelling, longer setup times, and additional machine adjustments. For production facilities, this means increased time expenditure and unnecessary costs.
With the DZL|foil, we offer a flexible solution for precisely this challenge. The process begins by determining the machine’s height profile using an impression of the cutting platen. Based on this, a custom-made foil with a precisely matched height profile is produced. This foil is inserted directly into the cutting chase (cutting platen) and reliably compensates for existing height tolerances.
“The DZL|foil is flexible, precise, and ready for use quickly. Height tolerances can be reliably compensated for, with virtually no additional mechanical intervention,” explains Ralf Nuyken, Corrugated Board Industry Manager at Marbach.
For corrugated board packaging manufacturers, this means a significant simplification of setup processes. Time-consuming zone levellings are eliminated, machine downtime is reduced, and production approval can be achieved more quickly. Since no replacement of protection plates is required, the solution can be easily integrated into existing production processes. At the same time, the reliable compensation of tolerances contributes to high process reliability and consistently stable die-cutting quality.
