Western Europe and North America are the corrugated board markets which can be described as saturated. It should be noted here, however, that this study does not take into account the current developments resulting from the pandemic boom.
Here, for example, Amazon and homedelivery logistics alone account for growth of around 12 % in Germany. These special dynamics could have an impact on the forecast and thus put the declining markets into perspective.
The result still remains: strong growth markets are Asia, South America and Africa. But here, too, there is a fly in the downside: since corrugated board markets are strongly regional, the positive growth prospects apply primarily to globally active suppliers and converters.
