Responsibility for deforestation-free supply chains – EUDR statement by the Marbach Group

The Marbach Group is committed to its responsibility for sustainable and deforestation-free supply chains. In this context, we work closely with our suppliers to ensure compliance with EU Regulation 2023/1115 on deforestation-free supply chains (EUDR) as soon as it comes into force.

The regulation came into force on June 29, 2023, and the key obligations for market participants and traders are expected to apply from December 30, 2026.

As a downstream market participant and trader within the meaning of the regulation, we do not place any of the affected goods on the market for the first time, but trade in products that have already been imported into the EU.

Our cutting-die is not directly subject to the EUDR Regulation, as it is sold under customs tariff number 84419090.

Nevertheless, we will check with our suppliers that all products we trade that fall under the EUDR (e.g., wood, rubber, ... and products made from them) comply with the requirements of the regulation.

In consultation with our suppliers, we will ensure the best possible traceability and comply with the relevant provisions of the EUDR Regulation in its currently valid and applicable version for all relevant products along the supply chain.

Please note that the EU Parliament and the EU Council are currently negotiating an amendment to the EUDR proposed by the EU Commission. Possible consequences include a postponement of the effective date and modifications to its regulation’s content. We will, of course, adapt our internal processes and measures as soon as new legal requirements come into force.

We will be happy to provide you with further information if required.
