We have achieved a significant milestone: 1,500 systems sold in the field of digital zone levelling (DZL). With the DZL|plate and DZL|foil solutions, we support you in the paperboard and corrugated board processing industries in sustainably optimizing your setup processes and significantly increasing production efficiency.
In addition to wear-related tolerances, the die-cutting process also requires compensation for job-specific, dynamic deviations. These are technically unavoidable, but they result in setup work having to be repeated for nearly every job, tying up valuable production time. The digital zone levelling specifically compensates for these tolerances and significantly reduces recurring setup work.
“1,500 systems sold demonstrate that our digital zone levelling has established itself in practice worldwide. Our customers benefit from a solution that significantly reduces setup time while ensuring consistently high process reliability. What makes it special is that each solution is individually tailored to the respective machine and remains reliable over the long term,” explains Jan Brunner, Sales Director at Marbach.
The technology is based on the precise determination of the machine height profile. With the DZL|plate digital zone levelling system for paperboard die-cutting machines, the determined machine height profile is digitally analyzed and directly transferred to a new make-ready protection plate. This creates a make-ready protection plate individually tailored to the respective machine, which reliably compensates for height differences and significantly reduces setup time. For applications in corrugated board processing, the DZL|foil is used: a custom-fit foil is inserted into the cutting chase (cutting platen) and enables flexible and rapid compensation of height tolerances, without additional mechanical intervention.
With the introduction of digital zone levelling in 2016, we established a technology that has permanently transformed everyday production. Over the years, the system has been continuously refined and adapted to meet various requirements.
Today, digital zone levelling ensures reduced setup and make-ready times, significantly eases the workload on machine operators, and delivers high repeatability, enabling you to benefit from improved production performance as well as more stable and efficient processes overall.
