Precisely creased. Efficiently produced. Marbach's crease plates for the highest creasing quality in the tobacco sector.

We have special tool solutions for the tobacco industry in our portfolio. The technologies crease-plate-die, crease-plate-die|+ and crease-plate-die|rc not only stand for the best creasing results, but also for productivity during die-cutting and the subsequent packaging process.

In the tobacco industry, design diversity and quality requirements are constantly increasing. Different materials, narrow creasing distances, and high packaging speeds, require precisely defined creases and reproducible processes.

The crease-plate-die is the basic version, ensuring stable, consistent creasing results and reducing material splintering. The marbalock quick-release screw connection is available as an option. It enables the crease plate to be fixed quickly and precisely to the dieboard, significantly reducing set-up times and minimizing machine downtime. “With marbalock, we significantly speed up crease-plate-die assembly while ensuring high repeat accuracy. This increases productivity and stabilizes the process,” explains Markus Stegmann, industry manager Tobacco at Marbach.

The rillplattenform|+ variant is used for “hinge lid” or “bevel edge” designs. By creasing with a defined final dimension, creasing specifications are precisely adhered to, the quality of the blanks is increased, and high packaging speeds are reliably supported. For round corner packaging, rillplattenform|rc offers decoupled make-ready of the cross creases from the round corner creases. This ensures that quality remains consistently high, even with narrow crease distances and changing cardboard materials.

With our crease plate technologies, you get a coordinated system that sustainably combines precision, efficiency, and process reliability in your packaging production.
