Marbach Group sends a clear signal for climate protection. Joining the SBTi and setting clear CO2 targets for 2030.

As part of our comprehensive sustainability strategy, the Marbach group has joined the global Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We are thus committing ourselves to pursuing concrete and science-based climate targets that are aligned with the 1.5-degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement.

“Sustainability is not just a claim for us, but a commitment,” explains Peter Marbach, Managing Director at Marbach. “Our responsibility goes beyond economic success. We want to make the right decisions for tomorrow today – and do so in a transparent and verifiable manner.”

As part of the SBTi commitment, the Marbach Group has set itself the goal of significantly reducing its emissions by 2030:

  • Reduction of direct (Scope 1) and energy-related (Scope 2) emissions by 42%,

  • Reduction of indirect emissions along the value chain (Scope 3) by 25%.

These ambitious goals underscore our long-term commitment to environmental and climate protection. We already rely on energy-efficient technologies, state-of-the-art machines, conscious use of materials, and close cooperation with sustainably oriented partner companies along the entire value chain.

For us, sustainability means holistically considering ecological, economic, and social goals and combining them responsibly. Joining the SBTi is a clear commitment to climate protection for us.
