We offer the duramar|alu, a dimensionally stable cutting-die that combines maximum precision with an innovative lightweight design. The specially developed dieboard ensures maximum dimensional stability while significantly reducing weight. You thus benefit from precise die-cutting results as well as easier handling in everyday production.
In packaging production, cutting-dies with wooden dieboards are frequently used for standard requirements. For applications with higher demands on dimensional accuracy and process stability, dimensionally stable dieboards are necessary. These are designed to retain their dimensional stability even under varying climatic conditions.
With the duramar|alu cutting-die, we offer a solution that meets precisely these requirements while also providing advantages in terms of weight and handling.
“What makes our duramar|alu cutting-die special is the combination of high dimensional stability and significantly reduced weight,” explains Bernhard Reisser, Industry Manager for Paperboard at Marbach. “Thanks to the innovative material combination, our customers benefit from the highest precision in die-cutting and at the same time, noticeably easier handling in everyday production.”
The duramar|alu dieboard consists of a combination of glass-fiber-reinforced plastic and aluminum sheets. This construction ensures particularly high dimensional stability while enabling a significantly lighter design compared to traditional steel versions. As a result, the tool is over 30% lighter than comparable steel versions.
The reduced weight makes handling easier during machine setup, internal transport, and die storage, while also reducing the physical strain on machine operators. Logistical advantages also arise: the lower weight helps reduce transport costs. At the same time, the stable construction ensures precise registration and thus clean creasing and die-cutting results, even in demanding applications.
