Marbach is known for its manufacture of tools for the production of packaging. What is less well known is that Marbach also offers high-precision tools for a wide range of technical requirements.
Sales Manager Michael Kiesel: "We not only make cutting-dies for packaging, but also for special applications in a wide variety of areas. For this purpose we have our own sales, CAD and production team that is specialized in all tools that are not used to produce packaging."
Marbach's special solutions include tools for die-cutting sensors, foam, car interior panels, active ingredient patches, surgical accessories, tablet blisters, thermoformed parts, honeycomb materials, filters, puzzles and plastics - and many more.
In addition to the packaging industry, Marbach's customers include those in the automotive, pharmaceutical, plastics, and gaming industries, as well as model making, and commercial printing.
The solutions here are as varied as the target groups. For die-cutting particular end products such as wire-eroded tools, solid steel tools, cutting elements, cutting plates and bent steel rules are used. Also heatable and extraction tools and those with high steel content. Marbach also supplies its customers with steel-rule tools for separating individual cups in the thermoforming process.

Marbach has added a new blanking tool to its product range. The alublanker is, as its name suggests, made of aluminum and completely CNC-milled. One of the first customers to use the alublanker is Marbach's long-standing partner MPS in Obersulm - a company of the Consumer Packaging Business of the WestRock Group. The Obersulm site produces high-quality folding cartons for the international perfume and cosmetics industry.
Marbach has published a new whitepaper for tobacco applications on its knowledge platform, the Experience Hub.
Marbach provides solutions to ensure top performance for its customers. In order to make packaging more attractive and to visually highlight individual elements of packing, the embellishment process of embossing is often used. As an eye-catcher, it increases the impact of a package at the point of sale. This then has a sales-promoting effect for the packaged product. If the embossing process is not integrated into the die-cutting process but is carried out separately, this is known as embossing and die-cutting in two passes. This is more time-consuming than an embossing process integrated into the die-cutting process. But here, too, set-up times can be minimized.
The portfolio of Marbach Die Supplies (MDS) includes machines, equipment and materials for diemaking. In particular, MDS has expanded its range of manual devices in recent months. Among the most popular of these is the mcut|multi multifunctional cutting tool. It cuts rule materials quickly and without deformation. Plastika Mostar in Slovenia is already using mcut|multi and is very impressed.
