With its calibration tool package, Marbach ensures that its customers can quickly and easily re-adjust the components of their die-cutting machine for flat die-cutting of corrugated board. This results in a significant reduction of set-up and make-ready times.
Over time, the pre-set zero position of the die-cutter frame fine adjustment can be lost. This gradually leads to deviations. The die-cutting and stripping stations no longer perfectly fit together. As a result, the set-up and make-ready times for each individual job increase. Productivity decreases.
Ingo Graham, Product Manager at Marbach. "With the calibration tool package, the stations die-cutting and stripping can be re-adjusted to one another. As a result of this, the position of the cutting-die will again perfectly match the position of the counter plate. Also the upper and lower parts of the stripping station will be optimally aligned to each other. Everything fits together perfectly again. This significantly minimizes make-ready times for our customers and increases their performance."
A further advantage of the calibration tool package: if several machines are set-up with the calibration tool, flexible and efficient use of the same tool package on different corrugated board machines becomes much easier.
Marbach has added a new blanking tool to its product range. The alublanker is, as its name suggests, made of aluminum and completely CNC-milled. One of the first customers to use the alublanker is Marbach's long-standing partner MPS in Obersulm - a company of the Consumer Packaging Business of the WestRock Group. The Obersulm site produces high-quality folding cartons for the international perfume and cosmetics industry.
Marbach has published a new whitepaper for tobacco applications on its knowledge platform, the Experience Hub.
Marbach provides solutions to ensure top performance for its customers. In order to make packaging more attractive and to visually highlight individual elements of packing, the embellishment process of embossing is often used. As an eye-catcher, it increases the impact of a package at the point of sale. This then has a sales-promoting effect for the packaged product. If the embossing process is not integrated into the die-cutting process but is carried out separately, this is known as embossing and die-cutting in two passes. This is more time-consuming than an embossing process integrated into the die-cutting process. But here, too, set-up times can be minimized.
The portfolio of Marbach Die Supplies (MDS) includes machines, equipment and materials for diemaking. In particular, MDS has expanded its range of manual devices in recent months. Among the most popular of these is the mcut|multi multifunctional cutting tool. It cuts rule materials quickly and without deformation. Plastika Mostar in Slovenia is already using mcut|multi and is very impressed.
