After the installation of a die-cutting machine at Marbach at the beginning of July, the preparations for the new training center are running at full speed at the Heilbronn-based die-maker. The official start is planned for the beginning of 2018. Marbach will then offer its customers training on the topics of die-cutting of paperboard and corrugated board. The focus will be on topics such as productivity and the significant reduction of make-ready time.
Sven Zimmermann, innovation and project manager at Marbach: “We are currently becoming familiar with our new die-cutting machine. Product tests are the best way for us to kill two birds with one stone: to test our own products extensively and also to become familiar with the machine. Moreover we are in the process of preparing for our training programme. Although the launch of the Marbach Academy is planned for 2018, the first customers have already been trained.“
Marbach will offer various training programmes under the name “Marbach Academy. More knowledge. More skills.”. All of these will have one thing in common: they will be practice-oriented with the goal of not only informing participants but also providing them with added value. Sven Zimmermann: “Our training will be designed in such a way so that the participants can gain not only theoretical knowledge, but also many skills that can immediately be put into practice. And immediately after the training. Our experienced instructors – all of whom are packaging technicians or application engineers – know exactly what it comes down to in practice.”
The training will leave enough room for requests and questions. The content can therefore be adapted individually to the participants' needs. In this way everybody will be able to profit optimally from their participation.
Marbach has different solutions for the blanking process in its portfolio: the compact blanker, marbablanker and lightblanker. The latter two have quietly become the industry standard in recent years.
At Marbach much has changed in terms of service. Recently, Marbach has expanded its portfolio and can now offer packaging design services in addition to training courses on die-cutting packaging. With this service Marbach is supporting its customers by increasing efficiency in their performance.
Marbach has strengthened the team in its Indiana subsidiary since autumn 2018. With Phil Driskill, Marbach has gained an industry insider with a wide range of experience in the world of thermoforming.
