The perfect cut: Cutting rules from Marbach.

The portfolio of Marbach Die Supplies (MDS) includes machines, equipment as well as materials for diemaking. One of the most important materials for the production of cutting dies are cutting rules made of steel rule. These form the heart of every cutting-die.

André Angermeir, Sales Manager Marbach Die Supplies: "We have a very wide range of quality cutting rules in our portfolio. All of them were originally designed for use in our in-house diemaking department and have proven themselves over the years. We have the right rule for every requirement. We are pleased to be able to supply our customers with these diverse cutting rule materials for their own die production."

The exceptional thing about the Marbach rules: they stand for highest productivity in the cutting-die production. They are characterized by excellent bending behavior, easy assembly and best fitting accuracy. Packaging manufacturers are enthusiastic about the durability and perfect die-cutting or creasing behavior of the Marbach rules.

Angermeir continues: "We have cutting rules in a wide variety of categories, for small and large runs, edge-hardened or not. The special mpower rule is extremely popular, especially for long runs: its rounded cutting tip makes it particularly resilient and enables shorter make-ready times for the user. This ensures efficiency in packaging production and long service lives. The mpower rule avoids angel hair and ensures a clear cut. All these features make the mpower cutting rule a special standard in our industry."

In the area of edge-hardened rules, mhard and mhard|+ are popular choices. The mhard is particularly suitable for die-cutting various paperboard materials and features a long service life. Angermeir: "The tolerances of the mhard cutting rules are very low. It can be used to produce cutting-dies highly efficiently. The mhard is the standard rule for all normal requirements. We offer the mhard rule in various heights between 23.8 and 50 mm."

The new mhard|+, on the other hand, is even more hardened than the mhard. It is specially designed for demanding die-cutting with a sharp cutting tip and is therefore particularly suitable for laminated materials as well as plastics. Angermeir: "Our customers are convinced by both the service life and the price of this special rule."
