Marbach presents its newest products in the areas of die-cutting technology and machines for cutting-die manufacturing at the IADD Odyssey in Schaumburg, Chicago (USA). The trade fair takes place between the 17th and 18th of May 2017.
At an 18m² booth, the Marbach America subsidiary will present to its customers the newest product highlights.
Make-ready time reduction
In die-cutting technology, Marbach will show its latest innovations in digital zone levelling as well as mpower|+ and magic sheet. Digital zone levelling levels out tolerances in the machine. So that conventional area patching, that previously had to be made for every job, is now no longer necessary. A digital zone levelling sheet that is set up once lasts several months. Together with the die-cutting technology mpower|+ and the make-ready magic sheet the customer can reckon with maximum make-ready time savings.
Marbach also will show its new blanking technologies marbablanker and lightblanker at the IADD Odyssey. Fernando Pires, Sales Director Marbach America: “Our lightblanker is characterized by its light weight and its low price. It is perfect for jobs where blanks have previously been separated manually. For higher requirements, we have developed the marbablanker. It perfectly suits the operators’ needs and allows a smooth production process.”
Refinement in perfection
Top selling packaging at the Point of Sale is becoming more and more important. At the IADD Odyssey, visitors will learn more about the Marbach technologies: marbafoil and the thinplate. With marbafoil outstanding embossing results are ensured, with the thinplate system highest productivity. For packaging made of corrugated board, Marbach presents pure edge technology. With this, packaging with flawless visible edges can be produced.
The department Marbach Automation & Service provides information about its laser and milling machines and also its waterjets. The new Marbach mplot cuts ejection rubber. Marbach Sales Director Samuel Vial: “We have already sold multiple mplot machines in Europe and the USA. Due to its features, the mplot cuts ejection rubber very fast. It is highly efficient and is characterized by its very good ROI. You can’t do anything wrong with the mplot. It offers the operator a lot of performance for little money.”
Moreover, Marbach will present its die-cutting production materials. Such as Marbach cutting rules as well as different rubbers and die-boards. The Marbach portfolio also contains components for stripping and blanking and tools for die-cutting production.

Marbach has a new technology in its portfolio. The universal sheet delivery is a tool with which sheet delivery in the die-cutting machine can be extended so that the delivery of the paperboard sheets can be quickly and easily adapted to each individual job.
Marbach Werkzeugbau is currently working intensively on the topics of digitization and industry 4.0. The main focus here is on digital solutions for tools, processes and services. Within the scope of this project, Marbach has analyzed the future requirements of its customers. The results of this are the two components CONNECT|M and CONNECT|AR (Augmented Reality). CONNECT|M is a technology that intelligently connects the thermoforming tool, Marbach and the customer. CONNECT|AR is about virtual customer support via remote maintenance.
Marbach offers an extensive portfolio of dieboards. The suitable dieboard can be selected according to the requirements of the customer or the particular order. The dieboard forms the basis of a cutting-die. The contours of the packaging are first inserted into the dieboard, then the cutting and creasing rules are positioned and finally the appropriate rubber coating is applied.
Through its Die Supplies & Automation (MDS&A) division Marbach sells machines to die-makers. In addition to laser systems and water jet systems, Marbach has milling machines in its portfolio. The mgrav|2 is its most successful milling machine.
