We have some very special technologies for the tobacco sector in our portfolio: The crease-plate-die|+ and crease-plate-die|rc not only ensure productivity during die-cutting, but also during the subsequent packaging process.
Bernhard Reisser, industry manager at Marbach: "The decision about which of the two technologies crease-plate-die|+ or crease-plate-die|rc is the most suitable, is determined solely by the design of the blank to be die-cut."
For example, crease-plate-die|+ is always used when packaging has to be produced in a "hinge lid" or "bevel edge" design. With this technology, creasing is performed with a defined gauge block. This means that the make-ready can be carried out with extreme precision resulting in very uniform creasing. This increases the quality of the packaging blanks and the speeds at which they can be packed.
The crease-plate-die|rc, on the other hand, is a solution specifically for cigarette packaging in round corner design. Reisser continues: "The unique effect of round corner packaging is created by the fact that several creases are very close together when the packaging is cut. This looks remarkable on the finished packaging, but also places high technical demands on the tool. For example, round corner creases affect the paperboard in a completely different way than standard creases. In order to control these forces, the make-ready of the vertical creaser can optionally be separated from the round-corner creases of the crease-plate-die in the round-corner version. The results are high-quality blanks that meet the creasing specifications given by the end customer. By the way, due to the wide range of adjustment options on the creasing unit, this also applies to changing board materials and variations in board quality."
Our crease-plate-die solutions stand for high-quality blanks that can best meet cigarette manufacturers' requirements for packaging quality and packing speed.

We will once again be an exhibitor at drupa 2024! This is the most important international trade fair for the printing industry and will take place in Düsseldorf from the 28th of May to the 7th of June 2024. We will present our products and services in the fields of performance, digitalization and sustainability.
We offer various blank separation solutions for separating blanks in packaging production. One of these technologies, which is extremely popular on the market, is the marbablanker. This is because this blanking tool is characterized above all by short set-up times and good handling during packaging production.
In addition to our portfolio of cutting-dies, we also offer suitable storage systems. The Marbach Die Storage System (MDSS) has been designed for optimally functioning in-house logistics at packaging manufacturers.
The Marbach MDSS storage system consists of special rack frames into which individual die cassettes are inserted. It has a modular design and can be configured according to customer requirements.
We are known for our requirement-tailored solutions. For applications in the medical sector, we have special tools in our portfolio that have been designed especially for this purpose.
Our special tools are characterized by their durability, fast delivery times and hygiene. Also, in terms of price, our solutions are unbeatable in a direct comparison.
