Marbach. The slightly different summer festival. Managers cater for their employees.

Following established tradition at Marbach, the Heilbronn-based manufacturer of tools for the packaging industry, the 5th Family Day took place on the 7th of July 2017. It is a summer festival of a very special kind because the managers themselves cater for the employees and their families. The employees and their relatives spent a fun-filled day at the Marbach company premises in beautiful sunshine – only interrupted by a short thunderstorm. And more than 1,000 people came.

The managing director and owner, Peter Marbach, had plenty to do at the summer festival. Just like on all previous Family Days in Heilbronn, he personally saw to it that no one remained hungry at the fries stand.
Peter Marbach: “The Family Day has become established as a permanent event. It can already be seen as a kind of tradition. And this not only at the headquarters in Heilbronn, but at all our subsidiaries worldwide. With this event we want to thank all our employees for their commitment and performance. Because we know that every single employee contributes to the success of the Marbach Group.”

Besides the pleasant get-together with food and drinks, the relatives of the Marbach employees had also the opportunity to get to know the company premises with company tours. On these tours, there was a very special highlight: the demonstration of the die-cutting machine Brausse 1060 ER. It will be part of the Marbach machine park in the future and was delivered and installed just a few days before the event in Heilbronn. So the visitors could see a die-cutting machine live in action for the first time on a company tour. The paperboard packaging that was produced on the die-cutting machine aroused excitement from the visitors.

But that was not everything. Also the games-and-fun part was not neglected: there were different attractions for all ages. A great kids program ensured that the many children had no chance to get bored. Either coloring the north America-Indian tipi together with the Kinderschutzbund (Child Protection Agency) or jumping on the bouncy castle or the goal-shooting contest. Every child found something exciting to do.

In addition the employees could win great prizes in a tombola. And a DJ provided great atmosphere well into the night.
