Marbach has strengthened the team in its Indiana subsidiary since autumn 2018. With Phil Driskill, Marbach has gained an industry insider with a wide range of experience in the world of thermoforming.
Driskill has worked for Landis Plastics and OMV Machinery. He has also been responsible for research and development at Berry Global. He possesses deep knowledge in article design, tool making and plastic processing. And in his various positions, Driskill has always been involved in the business development of each company.
Hubert Kittelmann, Sales Manager Marbach Werkzeugbau: "Phil has always been personally involved with customers and suppliers from all over the world. For us he is the perfect man to implement our ambitious plans for North America. Few know the needs of our customers better than he does. And by the way: Phil also knows Marbach very well. When Marbach founded the US plant in Elkhart 25 years ago he was part of the original US crew, he thus helped create the foundation for our long lasting success story."
Marbach founded a new branch in Tianjin together with the machine manufacturer Masterwork in the summer of 2018. Cutting-dies for the Chinese folding box industry are mainly manufactured at this location. A few months later, Marbach started its new materials subsidiary in Mexico. A production facility in the USA will follow in the summer of 2019. At Marbach all signs point to expansion.
Since drupa 2016 Marbach has had digital zone levelling in its portfolio. Almost 400 machines have been equipped with a DZL|plate in the past 3 years. And the number is increasing every day.
Marbach is already involved in its planning for the most important international trade fair for the printing industry: drupa 2020. And now there is only 1 year left until drupa opens its doors again. The last drupa was very special for Marbach: with the number of visitors reaching record levels. No previous drupa had more visitors at the Marbach stand than in 2016.
Marbach has continuously expanded its services in the past year. The newest member of the Marbach service family is the Marbach Performance Boost package. By which, Marbach supports its consulting service which makes its own process know-how available to its customers and thereby significantly increasing their productivity during the die-cutting process.
