Marbach ordered a die-cutting machine of the type Brausse 1060 ER at Brausse Europe in April 2017. With it, Marbach will create a training center for internal and external trainings during the next months. Moreover, using this machine, Marbach will test innovations and even better fulfil customer requirements. After 10 weeks, the waiting time was finally over: on the 3rd of July, the new machine was delivered to Marbach in Heilbronn.
Project manager Sven Zimmermann: “The die-cutting machine arrived at Marbach securely stowed in a container. Weighing 22,000 kg, the machine was lifted into the designated building by crane.”
Since ordering the machine and in order to create the perfect conditions, preparations were running at full speed at Marbach. A storage building was completely renovated including laying a new foundation so as to meet the high static requirements when operating a die-cutting machine. Also, the appropriate infrastructure: power supply, heating, compressed air, data cables etc. had to be created.
Zimmermann continues: “We were ready with our preparations just-in-time. It couldn’t have worked out any better. Also assembling the machine was very well planned and worked smoothly. The commissioning took place directly after the machine was set up.”
Marbach is now amply able to test its tools on its own die-cutting machine. The machine is already booked out for the next months.
In the future, internal workforce training on the die-cutting machine will be an inherent feature of the Marbach training philosophy. In this way the expertise of employees can be extended continuously and new employees can be more quickly educated to become experts. Starting in 2018, the first customer trainings will take place. An extensive range of seminars concerning the topic die-cutting has been planned. These seminars can be requested at firstname.lastname@example.org and will be sent to registered interested parties as soon as they are available.
Marbach founded a new branch in Tianjin together with the machine manufacturer Masterwork in the summer of 2018. Cutting-dies for the Chinese folding box industry are mainly manufactured at this location. A few months later, Marbach started its new materials subsidiary in Mexico. A production facility in the USA will follow in the summer of 2019. At Marbach all signs point to expansion.
Since drupa 2016 Marbach has had digital zone levelling in its portfolio. Almost 400 machines have been equipped with a DZL|plate in the past 3 years. And the number is increasing every day.
Marbach is already involved in its planning for the most important international trade fair for the printing industry: drupa 2020. And now there is only 1 year left until drupa opens its doors again. The last drupa was very special for Marbach: with the number of visitors reaching record levels. No previous drupa had more visitors at the Marbach stand than in 2016.
Marbach has continuously expanded its services in the past year. The newest member of the Marbach service family is the Marbach Performance Boost package. By which, Marbach supports its consulting service which makes its own process know-how available to its customers and thereby significantly increasing their productivity during the die-cutting process.
